The Tovatec Mera is a pretty unique dive light in that not only does it have a 12 degree 1000 lumen spot beam and a 120 degree 1000 lumen flood beam but also a 1080p High Definition camera , all built into the same lens. You now have the power to switch beam angles, take photos and record HD video with just one thumb (or your preferred appendage!).
The Mera is powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that will allow it to run the lights for up to 2.5 hours, 90 minutes if recording at the same time or up to 8 hours if just recording. The spot and flood lights both have a 100% mode and a 50% output mode for increased burn time.
An SD memory card of up to 64GB can be inserted into the head of the Mera for photo and video storage. The camera viewing angle has been fine tuned to match the 120 degree beam angle of the flood beam which is a handy visual aid when recording.
There are three buttons that provide easy operation of the Mera. The front button handles the lights, the left takes still photos and the right controls the video. The surround that they sit in provides status updates, glowing blue when the camera is on, flashing red for photos and pulsing red for video.
