The Perfect Balance of Features, Functions and Price
Virtually all modern dive computers do a pretty good job of computing depth, time and nitrogen loading. What sets them
apart is how they present this information and what kind of additional features and functions they offer. Divers are different, with a variety of preferences, priorities and skill levels. Some want their dive computers fully loaded, while others prefer a more simple system that focuses only on the functions they actually use.
The Aladin Sport caters to this latter group. It is a single gas dive computer with SCUBAPRO's time-proven ZHL-8 ADT MB
algorithm, full watch functions, an effective back light, visual and audible alarms and a three
-color nitrogen loading bar graph that makes it easy to track tissue loading. A variable ascent monitor lets you control your speed back to the surface and a timer can be set from
one to five minutes to customise safety stops. The Aladin Sport's logbook stores 25 hours of
dive time that can be downloaded via an infrared interface. Depth-rated to 120 meters (394
feet), the Aladin Sport is solid all-round computer available as a wrist mount or in two- or
three-gauge consoles.
Single gas (21%-50% nitrox) dive computer is targeted at open water divers.
New features include a Freediving mode for freedivers and a Gauge mode for tech divers.
Two button controls provide easy access to modes and basic parameters can be set without a PC/Mac.
Three-colour nitrogen tissue loading bar graph makes it easy to monitor N2 status.
CR2450 user-replaceable battery is rated for two/three years or 200/300 dives (battery compartment is independent from
the electronics).
Dive/Freedive logs can be stored and analysed with a PC/Mac via infrared technology.
Available as a wrist mount or in a two- or three-gauge console.
